Disney has just released their latest animated movie for children, called Tangled, which is a fairy tale based upon the classic Rapunzel story.

Rapunzel is a princess whose mother almost died during pregnancy. She is magically healed by a plant that is stolen from the evil Gothel. The child, Rapunzel, is born perfectly healthy and the magical powers of the plant have been transferred to her. The evil Gothel kidnaps Rapunzel and raises her as her own daughter, where she is locked in a tower most of her life.

On many occasions, Rapunzel asks her mother to leave the tower but Gothel denies her request every time. She eventually has an encounter with Flynn Rider and convinces Rapunzel to leave the tower. She runs up on some thugs and thieves and discovers the woman she called “mother” is the biggest criminal in her life. The moral of the story is that everyone deserves a second chance and you have all the power to change your current situation.
